^^Good Points^^
It's really hard to imagine a day when something like this wouldn't get a daily award. Actually it's probably just a day when a few episodes of some crappy series come out and are overrated. Beside the point though... I think the reason I like your movies and this one in particular so much is how bizarre, yet interesting they are and how carefully the graphics are done. I mean, how many people are going to think of an angry red sun coming out of a cloud with purple tentacles, let alone draw it with surprising detail and then animate it extremely smoothly. I really think this is underrated.

Really I don't think you could improve something like this. The only thing I would like to see is more work from you.

You obviously know what you are talking about when it comes to Flash. You explained everything pretty well and you seemed knowledgeable about making this effect. I learned a few things from this.

It's good and bad though...I've never seen a tutorial made like this, and honestly I won't mind if I don't see them made like this for a while. This takes way too long to learn something relatively simple.

Well the fighting wasn't so bad. It's a decent start to a series and submitting movies and getting criticism is always a good way to begin to improve upon your work.

I already watched the second one, but I really don't understand why you didn't include that really long paragraph about the storyline in this first episode. This one is basically just a big fight scene without it. Also, you should try working on your blood drawings. The mass of red lines really isn't cutting it.

Phantox responds:

I didn't add the storyline that I put in the second one because I wasn't planning on continuing it. I already know about the blood but I'm practicing on that now.

Thanks for the review.

Definitely a bit better than the first one. The animations were slightly better though it still has a lot of the same problems.

Very hard to follow. You had that whole "Fast Forward" "Rewind" stuff, which was really confusing and I really had no idea who was shooting who and what character was which. Anyway, drawings still need a lot of work. Try improving them to start with.

Phantox responds:

I'm working on drawing now. And on the rewind thing you could see a timer apearing. It was to show that there was a chopper heading to where the male agent was

You definitely put a lot of time into this movie. The sprite usage of backgrounds and foregrounds and the way you animated them is very good, and I liked the different music throughout. The storyline was pretty rich and it was fun to read everything that went on throughout.

I don't really watch too many sprite movies so I don't have anything to compare this to. However, what I can say is that I would like to see buttons for moving along rather than pressing space. For a while I was just right clicking and hitting play to move along. The music was kind of annoying when it only came out of one speaker too.

knuxrouge responds:

Thanks for your review, I want the sound to fit optimal head phone quality, but I see that thats just my opinion. There won't be so much manual text passage in the next Chapters.

I think you did a good job on both parts of this. The first part you did a good job of building this up, especially with the music, which I think fit perfectly. The ending was pretty unexpected and funny.

The graphics weren't that good in some parts. You used a lot of gradients, but not a lot of good shading, which is what really makes things look nice.

This is the first Clockmas movie I've seen this year, and I think it's a good way to start off the season for me. It was quite simple, yet I thought the baby crying sound effect was quite funny. Definitely better than somehow simulating crying in Speakonia. Not sure how the heck you would do that, but whatever.

The only thing I don't really like was the filesize. Seems a bit large compared to the length and graphics in this. Also just a question, what did the clock at the end say?

PatriotClock responds:

If you mean patriot he says "Life just sint worth living anymore" (or something like that).

Elements says "ill get the tylenol!" (or something like that)

I was expecting to give this a lower score than the first, as I thought it would be pretty much the same thing as the first one, but you surprised me by talking about some other techniques you used that you didn't talk about in the first one, that still made it interesting and enjoyable to watch this. Nice job, I wouldn't mind watching a few more of these. It's really interesting to see an artist at work, especially when you are comical in these movies.

Only thing is once again a preloader.

This submission was a neat change from the usual animated movies on NG. It was actually a pretty good video and not one with just people doing random things. I found it quite interesting to watch this and see your process of making your comments. It's a good way to advertise your work in a fun way.

Could have used a preloader. I had no problem streaming it, but it appears as it some people did.

Hello there! I'm a student of art, in case you didn't know. Yes, I still need to complete materials for my exam and assignment in the liberal arts and other Arts class. I'm just a old kid with a passion for the arts and communication.
