Heh, this movie was pretty darn funny. It was great how the dude just kept saying "What would Jesus do?" to get his way. It was pretty funny how you made that pattern. The voice overs were excellent, as illustrated in the first scene. Good job on making this movie and on getting it into a collection so fast.

The animations are pretty shoddy. Best illustrated in the scene in the woods, where everyone walks by simply jumping up and down. Some of the drawings weren't great either. The main guy's arms were far too long.

JonahTSucksFatBalls responds:

Yeah, I'm not much of an artist, and believe me, I know how long that guys arms were. I thought it was kind of funny, but at a certain point, things like that are sometimes not seen as funny, only as a mistake.

This was a pretty neat movie! The music really set the mood into a calm mood, but it gave the hint that something was going to happen, so I was on the edge of my seat waiting for something to pop out and make me shit myself, so good music! The graphics were great also. I liked some of the unique camera views like from the ground looking at the tress. Very cool drawings, they also helped set the mood.

Like I said above, I was expecting something more exciting to happen in the plot of this, but to no avail. It seems like kind of a cheap ending for such a great lead up to the end.

This was very good. I'm pretty sure that you did everything FBF, please confirm that for me. Your animations were quite smooth and your drawings were simplistic but pretty cure as well. This had humor in it, and the music in it really set a happy mood to it.

Of course some drawings could be improved, as with every movie, but overall a good movie in a lot of ways.

mademoiselle responds:

Yes it was FBF, it's my favorite way to animate. I will work on the drawings seeing as one can only hope to improve with each new project. Thanks you for taking the time to review my submission and give constructive crisitism.

I can't exactly say what it was about this movie, but it wasn't really as bad as I was expecting it to be. A lot of this was just experimental stuff you made, and mostly just still images, but that is pretty cool, as we got to see some of your good graphical works and some of the not so good ones, and see how you have progressed.

The music. It's a great song, I think it fits well, but instead of cutting it off to make the filesize lower, you should compress the music instead. You can get the whole song in and have a fractional filesize. There are tutorials all around NG. One at the bottom of the submission form!

PoeticTheJustice responds:

Thanks for the constructive criticism dude! I can promise you I have improved I'm just working on a flash right now and it's long. Btw my drawings may not be top notch as i only use a mouse (can't afford a WACOM at the mo).

The music was a good tune. I would have rated sound better but it seems you made no effort to compress the audio, making this a five meg file. Yikes!

First off, you need to explain what is going on before you say it's the end. I'm lucky I decided to watch after it said end or I would have no idea what the hell this was talking about. The animations are pretty shabby, not smooth and very simple. The layering wasn't good either; things were always overlapping the top part of this.

Not-Stuff4u2kno responds:

Yea. I'm not the best with flash but I am learning..

The drawings weren't bad, though I didn't like how everything was so blurry. It's kind of humorous how you prescribed throwing rocks at someone as treatment. It probably does work! Animations and music were decent too.

Like I said, you should blur so much. It's good to use once in a while, but to have entire scenes blurred for no reason is kind of lame. This also kind of moved too fast. You could probably add some more animations at the end showing how happy these guys become from throwing the rocks.

storeboughtarmy responds:

well i blurred a lot because i wanted it to have that eerie anti-depressant commercial sorta feel.
and it moves fast because commercials usually do... and when i added music i had to edit a lot of stuff so that it would run smoothly.

I usually don't watch high-scoring submissions, because they have a tendency to be quite long, but you had a great package in a pretty short time, which is notable. I really liked the three dimensional effects in this, they were very believable. The artwork was beautiful overall. I loved the cartooney sound effects too, and the voice overs were cute. Superb ending, you really made that scene intense and funny at the same time.

I felt the sound effects could have been a little less powerful, as they are they could be annoying to some people, just by sheer volume.

Wonchop responds:

Heh thanks.

It's certainly a good credits screen. I liked how you moved the text around as you did instead of just a plain scrolling screen. The animations and drawings definitely were unique too.

^^Needs Improving^^
If I wanted to watch the credits for your movie, I would go watch to the end of your movie. While this is well made, this doesn't really serve any type of entertainment, seeing how it is just credits!

Hello there! I'm a student of art, in case you didn't know. Yes, I still need to complete materials for my exam and assignment in the liberal arts and other Arts class. I'm just a old kid with a passion for the arts and communication.
