A very nice looking game. The instructions were very simple which I liked, and so was the game play. You had great drawings and level designs. Very challenging.

One thing I really didn't like was that you couldn't make your bird dive faster. He only fell at the default rate that he does when you don't press up, which made the game really hard. Also, the levels seemed to just repeat themselves over and over, especially the early ones.

Snubby responds:

Yes, thanks for the great review. I toyed with the idea of having the bird fall faster, but then I decided not to do it because I like how all directions move the same speed. The levels do repeat themselves, though the should be longer (they aren't because of lag issues) I think it is better that way. If you've ever been to playflashwincash.com, where people are actually playing the game seriously, you'd see that level repeating is actually better than randomly generated levels because of luck issues. You could get lucky and get a highscore that you dont deserve

Anyway, thanks.

It looked like a really promising game. You had a very cool menu setup that looked a lot like DDR or some game similar to that. A good selection of music, and a pleasing aesthetic look.

Once I started playing I was really disappointed though. I'm pretty sure it wasn't just me, and this didn't seem to be synced to the music at all. The steps just seemed to be quite random to me and not following the beat of the music at all.

DrRobot responds:

Thanks!!

Yea, the interent really messed things up for it...

Not too shabby at all. I don't think I've ever really seen a game where you control both the character and the platforms to jump on, it was pretty unique. The dojo training session was cool, as you learned by doing.

Pretty lame to have a ball for the character. Also, no sound effects doesn't help either.

I think what made this interesting was the sound effects you made and added to this. They sounded quite humorous. A nice graphical theme you had here too.

The framerate could have been increased a bit. This seemed not to move so fluidly when i was playing.

I liked your anti-cheating method, it seems to work fairly well, as I couldn't figure out a way to cheat. Detection was fair, and the game ran smoothly.

A little worn out. The maze games have been coming and coming, and this one doesn't really stand out as anything too interesting among the others. Same old level designs and basic hazards.

CrossdresserInPink responds:

I'm glad you couldn't cheat.
I tried ridding it of every cheat I could think up.

Definitely an interesting tutorial. You added some humor to the instructions, and they were fairly clear. Interesting to see such a tutorial on NG, as most tuts deal with Flash. I don't have a textbook on me, but when I return to school in the fall I will definitely try this out.

I think maybe a few different angles of the second fold stage could be used. It was a bit confusing.

Excellent game, very well rounded. You had very good graphics. Excellent coloring and shading, as well as a lot of good violent themes in this. The sound effects and music was cool, and the game got pretty challenging once the music started.

It just seemed a bit tedious to me, which wasn't necessarily bad, but stopped me from playing longer.

I like the idea of a game with Luis catching Tacos, that's pretty funny. The music was awesome, and the graphics were pretty nicely made as well.

^^Needs Improving^^
Yeah, extremely easy. Took me no more than ten seconds to beat. I know you said it was supposed to be easy, but for a harder version, have better detection. You didn't even have to touch the tacos to catch them.

Rudy responds:

Alright, Thank you for the pointers. I probably will make an extrusive version for my website with better coding so it actually has to hit the "HAT" rather than Luis himself, to get the points.

It'll be harder (hopefully.) Thanks again.

That game was pretty sweet, I really liked it. It was quite unique with using both arrow keys and WS. I was really confused by it at first, but then I got the hang of it and thought it was pretty cool. Definitely a challenging game. The intro movie was a nice addition to this.

^^Needs Improving^^
You say that timing doesn't matter in the tutorial, when it actually does seem to make your score a bit higher to time the arrows perfectly.

It was a decent game. I liked the heavy metal music and the career style of game play with unlocking venues and songs and such.

The main thing I didn't like was the syncing. To me, it didn't seem to sync very well to the music at all. I missed a few because I was going to the beat, and not trying to line things up exactly.

Hello there! I'm a student of art, in case you didn't know. Yes, I still need to complete materials for my exam and assignment in the liberal arts and other Arts class. I'm just a old kid with a passion for the arts and communication.
