Not sure whether or not this tutorial would actually be considered helpful. I guess breaking down the characters would be good enough for most people. You seem to draw them pretty well, so I guess you know what you are talking about.

A lot of the times it's just like "Draw it like this" with not many tips in here at all. It seemed a bit vague to me.

It's a pretty well made wall avoiding game. I think the graphics really made this get the score that it has. You have very nice animations and graphical effects in this. The music is pretty cool too. A nice looking game overall.

^^Needs Improving^^
It really doesn't bring anything new to the table as far as avoider games go. It's basically no better than any other besides the graphics.

AsianSpark responds:

Thanks :)

I used to play DDR back in the day. Now I've moved to ITG and MGD though. Either way, I got all the questions right, which was cool.

^^Needs Improving^^
The questions were really easy and there were only five of them. Hopefully v2 will have some better questions that are more challenging. I also think you may want to work on the graphics, these were pretty plain. And some music from the game itself maybe a good idea.

Simple, but still quite fun and addicting. I like how challenging the game was. Some of the people move so quickly that it's hard to tell who is drunk and who is not, which really makes the game fun. Not to mention the awesome concept behind the game itself.

^^Needs Improving^^
Really nothing can be said. The game is fun, fair, and has good graphics.

This is definitely a nice looking tutorial. The blue theme looks really nice. Aside from the nice color scheme, I did like your preloader and how it loaded everything separately. I've never seen that done before.

The text really kills this one. The text is kind of small, which normally isn't a problem, but you picked a font that is pretty hard to read when it is small. Definitely should pick a different font, or at least cut down on the amount of words and make the text bigger.

knuxrouge responds:

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I will change the font next time.

Well apparently you got the effect right. I've been trying to find this effect and a code that would work in CS3 for a while now. Unfortunately this one did not.

Didn't even work. I copied the script in your comments exactly as typed, and copied the other code exactly as well. Still got many bugs in the script and I'm left with a script that doesn't work.

stolen-name responds:

Sorry it did not work for you man :(
People seem to say it works
I'll try to prevent it next time, thanks for the heads up

Pretty good information here. I never thought a button tutorial could teach me anything, but I never knew there was a separate code to go to the next frame, that is interesting.

^^Needs Improving^^
Do you really need stop(); when doing a stopAllSounds();? I've never used it before. Besides what I mentioned above, really nothing in this tutorial to make it better than any of the other many button tutorials on NG.

Phantox responds:

stopAllSounds(); stops all the sounds and keeps playing the frames. stop(); stops the movie from playing.

I think that this one is different from the rest of the things on NG because this one is a lot easier to understand, IMO. Thanks for the review

Not a bad dressup game. You had quite a few different clocks to dress up and quite a few items. Everything seemed to work pretty well.

^^Needs Improving^^
Some of the music didn't really loop that well. Also, I don't see why you didn't just have them on the pages while you were playing, that would have been a lot more convenient. Also, who the hell are all these clocks? I've never even heard of any of them.

This game was pretty interesting. Not as good as I thought it would be but still pretty fun to play. It's pretty much always the one that is less obvious though, which gives it that interesting factor to it.

The one picture of the girl/guy in a wedding dress really wasn't fair, as you really couldn't see anything or any details. Could have had some more pictures in here too, it was really short.

Hello there! I'm a student of art, in case you didn't know. Yes, I still need to complete materials for my exam and assignment in the liberal arts and other Arts class. I'm just a old kid with a passion for the arts and communication.
