Starting out a game with a nice little animation for storyline is always a good idea. It's much nicer than having to read a story. The game had very simple controls, easy to understand and easy to get the hang of. I felt that the game functioned well also. The detection was good and I didn't feel that I got any cheap deaths.

One thing I didn't like was the buildings. Some of them you can jump on top of, yet a lot of them you can't. I found myself dieing while jumping right off of a building, thinking I would land on part of the next. Also, the graphics are very pixilated, it looks bad in this one, unlike some of your other movies.

This was a unique dress up game. I've never seen one where you actually had to color in the characters, which actually turned out to be a bad thing, but still, points for originality. The functions work well, like changing brush size and color is easy.

I don't really like how you have to color each part in. It's really hard to stay in the lines using a mouse, especially in the really small areas. It would be better if one could fill an entire section, like the paint bucket tool. It seems that the colors are cut off at the bottom of the Flash, and I would have liked to see some kind of eraser tool, or a wipe option to start over.

This is definitely a good concept, and it started off very good. I was impressed in the beginning. The graphics were good, the controls were easy to understand, and the game just had an upbeat mood to it.

However, soon after starting the game, I noticed problems. I drove by a few houses, missed the first few getting adjusted to the game, and then after about five houses went by, there was nothing else. No houses under me no matter how long I went along the cityscape. Definitely a bug that needs to be fixed. I would have liked the game much more had this game actually worked half way.

Qrak responds:

There are only six houses on the first level, so no matter where you fly there won't be any more until you complete it. There are more buildings each level though.

I like the amount of effort you put into this quiz. All of the answers that weren't really obvious at all and were pretty plausible. I found myself not being able to eliminate anything on most questions that I didn't know. It's also neat how you give a description of every wrong and right answer. Very educational. This had lots of pictures too, which is good. Overall an above average quiz.

Yeah, the images were good, but they just didn't go well with the plain backgrounds. perhaps you could add some borders to your pictures just to make them fit in more. Also, music should be turned off by some kind of button. Gets annoying after a while.

IceDragon64 responds:

Thank you for your detailed review. It seems you got just what I was hoping for out of it!
Glad you liked the movie clips; its a new step for me. i confess I dropped them into my standard DS Quiz template without even thinking of a bgd. I will see what I can do. I will definately put a music off button in all my subs when I learn how!
Best Wishes,

All of the basic functions of a soundboard are in here. You had rectangular buttons, easy to click, and all of the clips I listened to had working buttons and matched the text.

^^Needs Improving^^
For a soundboard this isn't very interesting. I like a SB that displays some funny quotes or interesting ones from an interesting character. Scarface? just doesn't really cut it for me in providing an interesting variety of sound clips that I will enjoy listening to. Certainly not good for a prank call either.

i apreciate your feedback, and will try to ammend your problems you had with it, thanks for the review :)

As far as these kind of collection games go, this was a pretty good one. It is a nice feature that you cannot go outside of the screen, which was rather hard to accomplish with how crazy santa moved around in this game. It's also good that you have to collect all of the boxes to get to the next level. I like how the game played and the interface was good.

There are no instructions, and even though this game is rather simple to play even without instructions, it's always something necessary just since people like me like to read instructions.

This tutorial had some good information in it. You explained a lot of the AS, so you know what you are talking about. This was detailed as well.

^^Needs Improving^^
The snowflake part was a little more complex than it has to be. I would have just done MC tweens since a long AS script is rather intimidating for something so simple. I don't like the countdown idea at all either. Countdowns are really quite pointless, and I don't think that it is a good idea for you to promote them.

I liked the concept in this game. It's a neat idea how you had the different colored houses to represent the good and bad children. The music was good too, some hardcore Christmas tunes. The graphics weren't too bad either, neat camera view for the game.

^^Needs Improving^^
I don't really like playing the game though. I found it pretty impossible to aim, since the houses move extremely fast, too fast to time and make the presents hit. The changing colors of the houses don't help at all either. That just complicates things even more.

A very simple game which I like. Simple games are needed among the high-quality demanding games of today. Controls were simple too.

The game needs instructions and some tweaking. I had no idea what those small squares attracted to me were until they started to drain my health, you need some kind of enemy page in the instructions. The game doesn't seem to function well either. I swear I hit multiple shots straight into the center of the enemies and nothing happened to them. Needs some type of scoring system as well.

Defense games are always cool, but I rarely see any that defend the sky. Most of them are based on the grounds, so that's even cooler about this. The background was really neat. A pretty high detail picture with good quality, and it was very mysterious and magical, so it fit the theme. The flamed spear idea was a good one, and your drawings were good.

This game doesn't seem very complete. I think a lot more could be put into this. For example, maybe some different types of dragons that attack and move faster, or different attacks based on color. It would be neat if you put some more into the level changing as well. I would like to see something like to defend the other side of the castle or something. Some more sound effects could spice this up, and perhaps shorter rounds to get to the difficult stuff easily.

Hello there! I'm a student of art, in case you didn't know. Yes, I still need to complete materials for my exam and assignment in the liberal arts and other Arts class. I'm just a old kid with a passion for the arts and communication.
