A bit improved since the first version of this game. I like the difficulty selection. I've never even heard of most of the countries though. Also, the hint option is cool to have around. Good scoring system, overall a solid game.

^^Needs Improving^^
I would say that when you use a hint, there should be some denotation as to where the words are still scrambled. For example, just make the correct letters a different color. You could also apply this to gameplay when you aren't using hints. Just to give people who are guessing a little bit of an edge.

Glad you appreciate the improvements.

I'll make 'easy' contain only better known countries after comments from someone else.

The idea for having a colour-change for unscrambled letters is kick-ass. I can think of only really complicated ways to do that though, but I'll try my darndest to put it in.

I was thinking the same thing myself - that there should be some way to know which letters are unscrambled. Having a colour shift never occured to me!

Not sure what you meant with your 2nd point. Will PM.

Ta for excellent review! You've been really helpful with the development of this particular game!

I'm sure a two player game wouldn't be too bad, but I only played the one player version. The game functioned fairly well, and it was decent for some quick fun.

I didn't really like how the AI of the computer was. He just seemed a little stupid at times. He would be agressive at some times and other just walk around in a straight line not even attacking.

There was a lot of different music in here, which was pretty cool.

I was really expecting a good tutorial here with useful information, but this was really just run-of-the mill to me. You have only basic information in this tutorial, and some of your information just doesn't make sense. You say that "when you get a gold whistle, it will be hard to find crappy reviews" which makes absolutely no sense at all. The graphics weren't that great, and you had way too much text for the information. You should also not require that quizzes be taken, which is really annoying.

highwatermark responds:

That's what the back buttons is for, if you don't like what you're reading.

I respect your opinion, but I can't really make this a useful tutorial any more than it is, mainly because there just isn't that much more information.

A pretty solid game you have here. The graphics were pretty well done. You drew different pictures for every part of the game, and the drawings of the cat were pretty funny. Good backgrounds as well. The sound effects also added some humor. The scoring system was neat and the game was overall pretty fun to play around with.

The idea isn't that original. There are games like this around, and this one was pretty boring to me.

The graphics were not all that bad in this movie. You had some tracing, looks like, which actually looked pretty nice. The soundboard and picture gallery was a neat little addition too.

The game itself is not really that great. Your method of running this game is having a very small target on Flanders, which was pretty annoying. I didn't like how I couldn't shoot or hit the rest of his body, and since he moved so fast, it's pretty hard to hit that little rectangle. Also, the soundboard doesn't have a menu button.

A very classic side scrolling shooter, much like Gradius, and with the intensity of Raiden Fighters. The sprites are very cool, great explosive animations. The game play was very smooth and fun. There was a lot going on, so the game was challenging, great job on creating such a retro experience. Hell, even the menus is cool.

I didn't see many upgrades, which was a little boring.

An interesting game to say the least. Bunnies saving the world...ok. I liked the music and sound effects. That was definitely the high point of this game.

Really a pretty boring game. You didn't do much with the graphics, pretty plain, and the game play was nothing special either. There were no powerups, enemies were kind of lame, overall just a very plain game.

From what I can understand, seems like the game is sort of like Lemmings, which is of course a good game to base one off of. The retro style of graphics is cool, but the game needs to be better.

The instructions are a little odd. I had to read them twice after playing around to understand what i had to do. Try to add some pictures into that to make things more clear. Also, the game just seems a little too hectic for me. I had no idea how to lead the little electric things into the ending, since it looks like they just move randomly. Some help here?

jdcasten responds:

Thanks for the comments-- I agree the instructions need to be clearer-- I'll try to add pictures. BTW Maximillian B. was originally published in 1987 - Lemmings came out 4 years later in 1991!

Hello there! I'm a student of art, in case you didn't know. Yes, I still need to complete materials for my exam and assignment in the liberal arts and other Arts class. I'm just a old kid with a passion for the arts and communication.
